TMS provider secures gold medal in the fifth annual contest’s Logistics Management Software category for using AI to ‘revolutionize’ how fleets manage operations.

BeyondTrucks, a San Francisco-based transportation technology innovator, recently claimed a gold medal in the Logistics Management Software Disruptors category at the Fifth Annual 2025 Globee Awards for Disruptors.

The honor recognizes the company’s platform that’s built for AI to revolutionize how enterprise fleets manage operations.

“This recognition validates our vision of bringing transportation management into the digital age,” BeyondTrucks CEO Hans Galland said in a news release. “While the industry has operated on decades-old technology, we’re proving that modern AI and multi-tenant cloud operating systems can deliver transformational results for enterprise fleets.”

The Globee Awards celebrate companies and teams that challenge the status quo and drive meaningful change in their fields. This prestigious recognition honors organizations that demonstrate breakthrough achievements and deliver game-changing solutions across multiple industries.

BeyondTrucks was selected by a panel of industry experts who evaluated nominees based on their market impact, technological advancement, and potential to reshape their respective industries, the company reported. BeyondTrucks’ multi-tenant cloud-based platform tackles critical challenges facing the trucking industry, including complex system integrations, operational bottlenecks, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and incompatibility with artificial intelligence applications that plague the incumbent transportation management systems.

The company’s platform innovation and proven customer success were decisive factors in securing this industry recognition. Early adopters are experiencing dramatic operational improvements: administrative workload has dropped by approximately 25%, asset utilization has increased by 15-30%, and order-to-cash cycles are now 10 times faster. These results translate directly to improved profitability and competitive advantage for fleet operations of all sizes.

Key Highlights

  • The platform uses AI algorithms and constraint management to optimize load assignments across drivers, routes, and schedules in real-time.
  • It features a natural language interface that allows dispatchers to quickly adjust constraints and re-optimize plans without delays.
  • The solution is designed to handle complex bulk and chemical transportation logistics, including unique equipment and driver certifications.

BeyondTrucks CEO Hans Galland introduced what he described as a “first-of-kind” optimization solution built into the provider’s multi-tenant transportation management system during American Trucking Associations’ 2025 Management Conference & Exhibition in San Diego.

The new tool empowers fleets to take a real-time, AI-powered tactical approach to optimizing dispatch planning using a natural language interface that rapidly and efficiently adjusts strategies as real-world situations evolve—potentially delivering a “significant economic impact,” Galland said.

“Poor load planning and dispatch decisions cost American truck fleets between $150 and $200 billion every year,” Galland added in a news release. “Dispatchers either rely on tribal knowledge or struggle with optimization tools that don’t fit their workflow. Plans become obsolete the moment they’re created. And making adjustments requires either waiting days for engineering support or manually overriding the system, undermining the very efficiency the technology promised to deliver.

“Our technology allows optimizing and re-optimizing load assignments across drivers, tractors and trailers, routes, and schedules using AI-powered algorithms and constraint management. This means when something changes, whether a driver can’t leave their home state, or other new delivery constraints arise, the user can flexibly adjust constraints and run the optimization again instantly.”

Optimization in chemical transportation

BeyondTrucks first implemented its innovative optimization solution with the 200-truck private fleet of Reagent Chemical, a bulk distributor of hydrochloric acid based in Ringoes, New Jersey, whose operation includes complex dispatch logic, and unique tank trailer equipment and driver certifications.

“Optimization solutions are most commonly used for route optimization in the food distribution and delivery space,” Galland told Bulk Transporter. “That’s where we see the biggest penetration. And optimization solutions for full truckload carriers do exist, but they all sit on top of the TMS. They don’t live in that primary workspace, as in our case. And then, in bulk, there’s really nothing else available. Bulk is very unique on the optimization side because of the complexities around the type of equipment that goes with each load or chemical, the type of driver who goes with that commodity, and lastly, the complexity around trailer washes.”

Dr. John Carlsson, BeyondTrucks chief data scientist—who boasts a doctorate in computational mathematics from Stanford and two decades of experience developing optimization solutions—provided examples of how an AI-powered “conversational” interface with “one-click” dispatch optimization can resolve scheduling conflicts, allocate driver workloads, and boost customer service during the Sunday new conference at the San Diego Convention Center.

Galland emphasized BeyondTrucks’ optimization tool is “groundbreaking” because it “augments the human experience” while also providing transportation operations with a scalable solution. “An optimization tool that only works when everything goes smoothly is the wrong tool for transportation,” he said. “The reality is, in trucking, things rarely go as planned. Our platform empowers companies to adapt to last-minute changes, exceptions, and unexpected challenges with speed and precision, because everything happens natively within the TMS.”

AI-enhanced dispatcher planning

The solution enhances dispatch planning by leveraging BeyondTrucks’ multi-tenant architecture that combines proprietary data from its TMS platform with information from other systems—such as ELDs, fleet management platforms, and driver applicant tracking systems—in its native data integration layer, the company added. Enabling real-time interaction with human load planners in their primary workspace, it offers unique advantages, including:

  • Faster data access across an increasingly complex fleet tech stack.
  • No data delays across systems, such as preventive maintenance scheduling solutions, navigation systems with weather information, or driver qualifications and preferences.
  • Fewer manual overrides by employing machine learning from a broader set of information that informs decision-making.

“Transportation management systems have tried to deliver optimization natively, but traditionally struggled because of the lack of real-time data and intuitive load planning interfaces,” Galland concluded. “Therefore, today, the market offers optimization only as bolt-on solutions, which struggle to unlock value as load planners often override recommendations.
